Winners and Chicken Pox
September 17, 2011
I am happy to announce the two winners, Where Women Cook goes to Erin and Molly Makes goes to Wendy. I will e-mail you for your address's. Thank you everyone who participates.
Life is a bit crazy right now. Both the girls have chicken pox, David is sick and we are still doing this crazy, restrictive allergy diet (while having chicken pox's). So I might not be around for a bit but I will be back. I need to remember life is beautiful, even when it does not feel beautiful xox
Congrats to your very lucky winners!!! I'm so sorry your girls are both ill. I had the chicken pox when I was 12 - it wasn't any fun. I'm glad the girls have you to care for them! I hope your hubby gets well soon, too. Remember to try and find some time for yourself, too, dear friend. Big hugs! xoxo

Dear Clarice,
Congratulations to the winners, and I hope everyone is better soon. Nothing like a bout of sickness to make you realize how blessed you are every day that someone is NOT sick!
Love,
Marqueta

Oh poor you (plural!)I can recommend bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) in the tub to ease the itching...but you need to bulk buy. I put about 4 oz in each not too hot tub when my two eldest had the pox!

Tom had the pox when he was 16 years old. It was very hard on him. He lost lots of weight and it took him a while to get his strength back once it was over with.
Loving thoughts and a a prayer!

So very sorry about the pox. Brings back bad memories. Hope it passes quickly and without added problems. Distraction and oatmeal baths seem to be the only relief. Praying for added patience and a boost of energy for you. Take a deep breath... As they say - this too shall pass. Hard to believe when you are in the midst - I know.

Oh gosh I thought they had shots now for chickenpox. The really bad side effect of chickenpox as one ages is Shingles. They are terrible I had them about 7 years ago. They are from having chickenpox but there is now a shot for shingles too which just recently came out.
