Paper Tree
December 11, 2009
Do you get a thrill like me for taking junk and turning it into something ? That is why I like theses folded paper trees, they are a good reuse of catalogs or magazines and are sooooo easy to do. You could bling them up if you wanted to or paint them. Anything really. Also check out Fabric, Paper, Thread paper trees. Beautiful idea Lorrie.
The paper tree is totally cute. What a great idea!!! Thanks for posting the recipe...sounds divine. I wish I could cook with you, too. :)

Hi Clarice,
Thanks for the roasted pear sauce idea. It sounds delicious.
Like some of your other commenters I remember seeing or maybe making those folded trees when I was a child. I like the way they look, and they are fun way to recycle and repurpose.
Thanks for mentioning my trees, too.

I think we made these in 8th grade! Cute! I like the trees over at Fabric, Paper Thread too.

That's so funny! I just came from Lorrie's blog and saw hers! Yours is cute too! They all seem so easy to make.

Awww, memories! My mom, sis, and I would make paper trees like this when I was a kid. We'd use old Reader's Digests --- and spray paint them gold. Sometimes we added styrofoam heads with angel hair "wigs" and make them into angels. It was fun and they were so pretty for the holidays!

We made these and angels from them, too! I have one waiting for paint now! Isn't it fun??

Count me in the "I remember making those" crowd! We always spray painted ours green or gold and then sprinkled glitter on. Fun to see one again.

I remember making those trees in grade school - I had forgotten about them! We used to spray paint them gold and silver, but I love the natural look of the paper. The roasted vanilla pear sauce sounds heavenly, something I would love. Blessings, Barb
