Felt Tree
December 12, 2009
Good morning, hubby went back to work last night and survived. I finally got a good night sleep, ahhh. I LOVE Thompson Family-life's look. Her style is sooo much fun and I had to make one of her trees. I think I want to make a second one with more wild colors next. Oh the possibilities.
I am still hoping to make these felt trees and these too !!!
Today is a stay at home cooking day. We are hoping to get made layered peppermint bark, smoked salt caramels and espresso cookies. What are you up to today ??? xox
Good Morning! I just came across your blog and would like to say that I made something similar to your Felt Tree...except that mine is stuffed {I did not use a cone} and I used felt, fabric and buttons :) I enjoyed seeing a different take on it!It looks great! Your blog is full of beautiful inspiration..Glad I found it! xx

I'm glad to hear that your husband is well enough to go back to work.
Around here, we watched The Bishop's Wife last night (love it) and today, I'm going to a book club meeting. I get more done on "getting ready for Christmas" tasks when my husband & child are out of the house, on weekdays :)

Hurray - your husband is back on his feet. That is definitely good news. :) This tree is so very cute as well. I am getting so many new and fun decorating ideas from you, Clarice! :)
We did a little Christmas shopping today, and I finished knitting up a comfy little cowl for my mother-in-law and started a commissioned one. Took photos of more jewelry, shopped for more jewelry supplies, and then started working on those as well. A very busy day indeed. :)

Good evening Clarice :)
Wow, how cute is that? I LOVE the felt tree and the link for the others too! Very cute!
I'm glad to hear that David is back to work. It sounds like you had a wonderful baking day, such yummy sounding goodies! Do you have a caramel recipe to share? I have some smoked sea salt looking to be needed :)
Have a blessed weekend!

Hi Clarice,
This is so cute! I have never visited the Thompson Family blog before now~~it is soo cute. You always find the best links. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. Hope you are enjoying your stay in and cook day. We had an appointment this A.M. in downtown L.A. and, of course, it's one of those rare rainy so Cal days and the traffic was snarled and slow. That being said, I'm home now and ready to enjoy some slow cooked Navy Bean Soup with home made corn bread.
Thanks again for sharing.
Love,
Tracey
