Shades of Summer Cabinet

Summer cab

A summer makeover for my cabinet. The big platters in the center are from the rose Limoges china from my great, great grandmother. The green and white bowl is my new $1.50 find. I love those kind of finds.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I have friends who are so hot and friends who are freezing. It has been cold in the morning but sunny in the afternoon. I can finally run around my yard barefoot and it is heaven. My veggie garden seems to be doing well. We are going into our weekend and plan to go strawberry picking in Sequim. I am sure we will get some lavender ice cream at the lavender fields. Poulsbo has their 4th celebration on the 3rd. My girls will be able to sit on a boat in the bay, under the fireworks. Isn't it wonderful how there are things in life that only happen with each season, only come once a year. It is these small moments, small traditions that make life, life xoxoxo

The Pleasures of Homemaking

Beautiful Clarice! I agree, I really love that there are some things that are particular to a certain season. There's always something to look forward to!

Now I remember! Your home reminds me of a bed and breakfast I've stayed in a couple times in Mt. Shasta, Ca. Here's their url:

You have a beatiful collection of china.
I love serving platters and soup bowls. \

What a special treat to have your yummy home-baked meals served on these lovely vessels.

Sounds like a perfect holiday. Enjoy, Clarice! xo xo

Sweet Cottage Dreams

Hi dear friend! You are going to Sequim? I LOVE that town!!!

Your cabinet and dishes look lovely! I spy some wonderful "cottage" pretties on the wall, too.

You have the cutest collections!

Your cabinet is just beautiful. I absolutely love how you decorate! Have fun picking strawberries, I wish that there were a U-Pick berry Farm here.I can only imagine how incredible it must be to watch the fireworks from a boat, how fun!

Have a wonderful weekend Clarice :)

Dear Clarice,

Your cabinet looks lovely - very much like summer! We love to visit the town of Poulsbo - such a sweet little town! We have never been to the lavender fields, but I hear that they are gorgeous!
Have a fun time on the fourth!

Another smashing summer corner. Love the platters. I'm glad to hear that your veggie patch is growing well. Will you give us a peek someday?

Oh dear, I forgot to mention how charming your cottage paintings and plates are! You have quite a collection of those. They look so pretty and I love how you have them arranged!

Love, Paula

Dear sweet Clarice,

I love your 'shades of summer' cabinet! The rose Limoges china from your great, great grandmother is such a treasure. I am so very glad you have them to use and enjoy. I know you value things like that, as I do. You have everything arrange so beautifully. Your green bowl was a fabulous find. I love finds like that, too! Your photos are so pretty! The pink paper lining your cabinet is lovely.

We are enjoying our summer.. and I am so glad you all are as well. I am happy you can go barefoot and enjoy some warmth. How wonderful that your veggie garden is doing well. I am happy for you and proud of you.

I wish we could come pick strawberries with you and enjoy the lavender ice cream. Have some for Justin and me! I know the girls will have so much fun watching fireworks from the boat. I agree, it is wonderful how there are "things in life that only happen with each season, only come once a year," that was beautifully said sweet friend! I treasure those moments and traditions as I know you do. Yes, it is what makes life, life! Thank you for sharing your heart!

Much love to you,
