I have just now discovered this blog and plan to live here forever. I too have decorated "September-ish." Did a vintage back-to-school theme: vintage penny bank globe, vintage readers, my husband's and my 2nd grade report cards and photos stuck in the keyboard of his vintage typewriter, vintage view master and slides (okay, not really school-themed, but fun.) I'm inspired to post the journal I'm making out of an old school reader.

Thank you, Clarice, for the inspiration. I really love Marie's ideas for the bell jar and dog food tin...will have to try those.

Oh what lovely ideas for the new season! And that French table is just the thing I've been looking for! I love the painted finish - rustic yet romantic.

Thank you, Clarice, for these lovely ideas and the links. I've started my autumn heavy-cleaning and then will decorate for the season. September is when I put out autumnal decorations, October is (naturally) Halloween themed. On Nov. 2, I put away all the Halloween stuff and don't do any decorating until Dec. 1 when I drag out all my Christmas stuff. We're always gone for a couple of weeks in November for our family gathering over Thanksgiving, so I skip any decorations for that month.
