Creole Thrift
March 20, 2008
Congratulations to Mrs. Cooper at Cooperswife for winning the Summer cookbook. I will e-mail you xoxo
This will be the last book give-away, I wish I could do more but I can not afford the shipping ;-) This weeks book is "Creole Thrift" by Ange'le Parlange. and is a very interesting book. It is half decorating, half history. Ms. Parlange has developed a beautiful creole style and has some really wonderful and thrifty projects. But also she talk about her families plantation. Parlange Plantation is, if I am correct is the only Louisiana plantation still owned by the original family. Reading the history of the home and family was fascinating. I really was inspired by this book and hope you are to.
I want to thank all of you for coming to my blog and participating in my book give-away. You readers have been such a blessing to me and I only hope I can bless you to xoxoxo
What a cool looking book - I like that southern vintage style :)

Clarice you are ever so kind to be sharing these wonderful books with your blog readers, it is the least they could do is to assist you with the postage, as you surely have a special radar to find them for us. This Creole edition is particularly interesting.
Thanks for all the links of new blogs, am checking them out and really blown away with what some folks are getting up to. Visiting your blog always makes my day.

Clarice, you find the most interesting books! This book sounds so very unique and interesting. It's been very sweet of you to have these drawings and send off the books you have.
I hope you and yours have a very happy Easter. May it be blessed!
I hope you received a letter from me today. . .it not, it should be there tomorrow.
Dear son made Tibetan tea for an after dinner drink tonight. Very unique. . .boiled black tea with unsalted butter and rich milk. Quite good, really. I need to send you the recipe. I think C. and A. would love it, as would you.
Happy day!

I love this book, I've checked it out of the library before and it is beautiful.
I'm coming up against the price of postage, too. Even with Media Rate, it is getting expensive to send books.

Good morning an Happy Spring. I want to wish you, avid and the girls a very Happy Easter. I know you will make it very special for your family.

Janet
PS. What's on the menu?

I know what you mean about the shipping. It's so expensive isn't it? Shipping Christmas gifts sometimes cost me more than what's inside the boxes I'm shipping!!
Blessings,

I think your whole giveaway project demonstrates what a lovely giving heart you have.
This book you've posted about today sounds lovely. I've heard of it but only in terms of online sales pitches. It's nice to hear from someone who's actually read it.

Congrats to Mrs. Cooper (one of my favorite blogs). Don't enter me in this drawing because I have that book. It's interesting to read about her family history and she has some interesting projects as well.
