Comfort

Girlknittingwithdollsb

"Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort, of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them all out just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keeping what is worth keeping, and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away."

George Elliot

I just wanted to say thank you. This past week has been a very hard week and all your kind words and encouragement held me up. Whenever I am having a bad day or feeling I am not good enough, I come to my blog and read all your notes. They mean so much to me and help me to solder on. Dear Gill left this wonderful poem (thank you Gill) and I wanted to share it with all of you xoxoxox

I'm sorry to hear that you are having a hard week.

Thanks for that gorgeous graphic and beautiful quote. Your blog is a comforting place to visit.

I should have left a comment for you earlier because I love the tutorial...my grandma had silhouettes of all her children that I just adored!! And I want to make some of my own children. I've had a really rough week too-- my teaching partner had her baby early, which leaves me to teach a group of kids ranging from K-8th grade by myself!!! But I also love that quote above and the illustration is wonderful! Seems just when you feel your lowest, the next day brings a little sunshine and joy! At least that's what I promise myself!! I love your blog!

Clarice,

I am so sorry your week wasn't a good one. If I had known I would have hopped on one of those ferries and come over. I was tempted to get on one just to be out on the water, not on Sunday though, LOL. Your acorns are ready to cheer you up; just let me know when.

I think you are pefectly Clarice! A dear, funny and thoughtful friend, with a big, true heart.
You are a good person, worthy of all the love, and happiness that life can hold. Choose to believe in yourself sweetie, and never give that power away. You have your lovely girls to create a beautiful life for. Teach them by example to believe that they are worthy of love and a happy life too.

Lindsey @ ETJ

Hi Clarice! I finally got my laptop up and running and now I can visit your blog again! :)

Sarah

Oh no! I hope things start looking up soon Clarice.

Oh Clarice --- I'm sorry the week wasn't smooth and good. Don't allow yourself to listen to the negative self-talk, but rather remember you are a child of the KING of the universe and are perfect just the way you are! I love the George Elliot quote --- it's always been one of my favorites!

Hugs!

Bless your heart, Clarice! You are a wonderful person, full of love and caring for the world. Here's an old saying that I try to remember myself when I'm made to feel indequate: "What you think of me is none of my business." In other words, you can't control what others think.

Just continue to be your own beautiful self--that's one of the many reasons I love visiting your blog and getting to know you--you are an awesome person.
