Thank You Ladies

Thank you ladies for all the constructive feedback it is very helpful. Just so you do not think I am not listening, I can not add anything to the top of my blog. I have lower-level typepad and can not customize my header. I may upgrade but I am having a hard time justifying the money. I am thrilled to hear my recipes may inspire someone to step out and try something new. Even if you hated it I am overjoyed you tried it. Life is adventure and we should always be trying new things xoxox

PS: this chalkboard is in my kitchen and I always put a quote up for the girls. The chalkboard came from the old school house down the road. It is this type of history that makes me love my home. I thought off all you ladies as I posted this quote

" A homemade friend wears longer, then one you buy at the store"

I love your chalkboard! I have one too, that I picked up in the street in SFO when my husband and I were there for the weekend one time!! It was just sitting there leaning against a trash can!!! We were going to breakfast, and in my best Jeff Foxworthy voice,I said "if that's still there after breakfast, that baby's mine"! SHO 'Nuf, it was! ANd it is huge...about 3 x 6 ft.!! I have to say we looked pretty silly carrying it the 3 blocks to our car!

I read your blog daily and thought I had better comment more so as not to be a lurker.
The chalkboard with quotes...I love it! For several years I did the same thing, my family read it, friends would pause to see what was written, it was a "thing" in our house.
Somewhere along the way I stopped and this has reminded me how important it is. I can't tell you how many times my girls have said 'hey mom, whats that saying about..'
Thanks for jogging my memory!

Ooops, looks like the same thing happened to you with Chamara's comment as what happened to Leigh Ann's comment on my blog this morning. Typepad must be having a problem.
I love this idea that you and Kelli have of a blackboard to share lovely messages. This quote is really nice and oh so true!

I love your chalkboard Clarice. I have one in my kitchen also, that I use for my shopping list, and I have one in my workroom which I have been meaning to use for inspirational quotes & ideas...but somehow I have not gotten around to doing it yet. Thanks for the inspiration!

Heh, I hadn't realized that typepad had different levels of blogs and that you couldn't add a banner to them all, interesting. I do get fed up with Blogger sometimes, but, hey, it's free, who can complain about that, right? :-)
