.
I had this pin made with my inspiration word for the year.
.
I try to live my life one day at a time and in this latest health issue (thyroid cancer) I made up my mind right in the beginning that I was going to try and take it one step at a time. I don't always achieve that, but I do better as it goes on.
.
I get caught up in trying to be prepared ahead of time and I'm trying to stop getting so crazy with that. So I'm learning to yes be prepared, but not to excess.
.
I'm in my second week of the low iodine diet and having no thyroid hormone and so far so good. I'm still driving and I'm cooking from scratch everyday. I'm making my own almond milk and egg white mayo.
.
I got inspired to write this after watching Dancing With the Stars. This year one of the contestants is Amy an Olypian who had her legs amputated below the knees. I just saw that they learned as they went along how to work around her artificial legs and feet. They couldn't really be totally prepared because they didn't know what they would encounter. They were forced to meet each challenge in it's turn. They have learned and tried new things as they go along. She is quite an inspiration.
.
Thinking we can be totally prepared is a type on control and we need to let go of that and learn to enjoy today and trust that you will meet the challenge when it comes, and that God has gone before you and smoothed the path.

Hi Linda~
So good to hear that you are doing well after your cancer scare - such a challenge to deal with health issues!
I love Dancing with the Stars, and Amy is my pick to win! She is such an inspiration, so full of enthusiasm and life! You are also an inspiration to me, with all you challenges right now, you are still so optimistic! You will certainly be in my prayers!
Hugs,
Barb
