This week's Pinterest, is a colorful bedroom. I always crave color at the end of winter. It is soo gray here in Washington. I am thinking I need to look at my home and see where I could add a pop of color. Maybe your home could use some color too!!

I like color too, and wish I had the flair for putting it together as it was done in this photograph. It has a decided "cheerful" feel. It reminds me of so many of the optimistic pop songs on the radio in the 1970s that had the word "sunshine" in it. "Sunshine on my shoulders, Makes me Happy" by Denver and "You are the Sunshine of my Life," by Wonder, etc.

You know when I was up this way househunting, I saw homes with bright colors painted on the walls and outside and I thought OMG whats with these people up here. Reminded me a bit of the Painted Ladies in SF. And I like soft pastels altho I do love Oriental blue and white combo. But now that Im living up here, I find myself drawn to brighter colors and my old stuff looks boring to me. I guess it has to do with the air up here and weather. I just thought the people had no taste lol Shame on me. I still tend to go for whites and softer colors but Im finding myself adding punches of color here and there now.

Oh my, this really is wonderful... I've been intentionally staying away from Pinterest because I'm afraid of all that goodness waiting out there. Afraid that I'll be tempted to get involved in something new. Someday I'll make time but for now I'll just enjoy what you brave souls are finding!!
Blessings, Debbie

Beautiful color in that photo. Check out my last Blog post on Porch Days to see how I am working with color. We are all hungry for color at this time of year.
I'm reading "Flowers in the Rain & Other Stories" by Rosamunde Pilcher.

This is gorgeous dear Clarice!!! I love the bedding and the vignette on the table! Very inspiring and cheerful! I am re-doing the library in bright, cheerful colors and adding more color throughout my cottage. Thank you for sharing this! Love, Paula xo

How pretty! I love color too, but I have turned more to the neutrals in our decorating lately. We have very colorful accents and a neutral background works better to show them off. Right now I am trying to pick a color for our bedroom, as we have not painted it since we bought our home 10 years ago!
It is a very gray here in Washington today, a good day for lots of candles, the woodstove burning, and maybe some baking! :)
Blessings!
