That tin with the childrens' books in it makes for such a lovely vignette! Everything is so pretty! You have a lovely home! :)

***sigh*** everything is gorgeous, Clarice!!!

xx

What a lovely idea Clarice. It gives me a feeling of soft summer breezes and sand beneath my feet. If only!!

I too collect old children's books. I even love the readers from the twenties and thirties. I am going to list your blog on Porch Days. Thanks for the link to your Mom's site, Fox Tales.

What lovely summer ideas. Your vignettes always look so pretty.

This vignette is so pretty, and makes me think of an old fashioned visit to the seaside. You have such a knack for creating lovely places for our eyes and our thoughts to rest, Clarice.

Clarice this is so pretty! I agree, in the summer I want to lighten up - maybe because it's soooo hot here!

Manuela

Soft summer colours are wonderful. That silver urn with the hydrangeas is beautiful. And I'm with you - I still like to read children's books.

Clarice,

I love the summer time look.

Dear Clarice,

What a beautiful collection of summery books, and a lovely tin to keep them in! The colors of summer are so peaceful and calm; I love them, too.

Love,

Marqueta

Love the photos...gorgeous!!

Ooh, another lovely vignette (beautifully photographed too)! The creamy white miXed with soft seashell colors in very inviting. I'm having some serious book envy...

It looks great. You know I love books.I also love sea shells. I never thought about the colors or seashells. I think it's going to be warming up a bit so I may get in the mood to put out my summer stuff. Love, Mom

Dear Clarice,

How pretty! I love the old tin that you have the books in!
Have a wonderful day!

Blessings!

~Nadine

Beautiful displays, such a nice Summer feel. Your books are just darling. You must stop by I too shared some July vignettes.
Hugs, Diane

Clarice,

Everything looks so beautiful! You are so creative and create the most wonderful vignettes and displays. I love the colors and items you use. The silver looks wonderful holding the mauve Hydrangeas and I love the idea of the children's books (which I love too!) in that beautiful box :)

I hope that you and your honey had a wonderful weekend!

~Sharon

I absolutely LOVE your children's books and like the way you have them displayed in the box. I'll remember that! And I do love the colors of the sea...makes me think of the movie, Sarah Plain and Tall.

So beautiful! Filled with charm, whimsy and romance...I love it!

Hi Clarice!
That looks so pretty and summery. I'd love to dig through that tin of books! I also like less stuff and fluff in the summer... open windows and bare floors make me feel cooler!

Take care!
Kim :-)

Oh Clarice,

Your home is so GORGEOUS!!!! I love what you have done for summer! It is so pleasing and restful looking. I love the round mirror (I see a sweet pink table in your lovely kitchen, and look at those cottages on your wall!!!) and the vignette is so beautiful! The old tin is fabulous and I love how you filled it with your favorite summer children's books. Thank you for the recommendations... you also know the best children's books! The urn is fabulous and looks so pretty filled with the dried hydrangeas. I like that strawberry, too. ;) Your teacup and saucer is lovely. I am thinking it is Brambley Hedge?

Thank you for sharing your beautiful and charming home with us! You have such a gift for decorating and making your home lovely! I am always inspired and blessed by you!

Love, Paula
